Keith Haring Public Illumination 1981
Located in NEW YORK, NY
Keith Haring Public Illumination 1981: A rare, highly collectible small pamphlet-style art magazine (measuring 4.25 x 2.75 inches), featuring a centerfold spread illustrated by Keith Haring, playfully credited under the moniker "Kip Herring." The illustrations include some of Haring's signature early motifs including dogs, crawling babies, and figures in varying sexual positions. A rare, early Haring collectible which quite possibly marks his first appearance in a printed publication. Staple bound zine (art magazine), 4.25 x 2.75 inches. Good to very good overall vintage condition; appears unused. Unsigned from an edition of unknown. Literature/References: Printed Matter Inc., New York, NY Public Illumination Magazine: Founded by Zagreus Bowery in 1979 in New York and distinguished by its pocket-sized format, the publication rose to prominence in the underground art scene and was revered for its blatant mockery of mainstream magazines. The texts and drawings ranging from parody to absurdities. Contributions will be published exclusively under pseudonyms. By 2007, 51 issues appeared. The magazine is published irregularly and is available in the USA, Italy and Germany. Writers and artists who have contributed include: Keith Haring, Ken Brown, Steve Dalachinsky, Michael Madore, David Sandlin...

Soup Cans
Located in Manchester, GB
Soup Cans 2010 85 x 60 cm Offset lithograph on paper. Comes with a copy of the original POW receipt and certificate of authenticity supplied by gallery. Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director and painter. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls and bridges in cities throughout the world. Banksy's work was made up of the Bristol underground scene, which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. Observers have noted that his style is similar to Blek le Rat, who began to work with stencils in 1981 in Paris, Jef Aerosol...

Banksy "Visit Historic Palestine" Walled Off Hotel Stamped Print With C.O.A.
Located in Draper, UT
Banksy Visit Historic Palestine Print Mint Condition The only way to obtain this print was by staying overnight in the Hotel in Bethlehem. On the verso of the print it is double stamped with the Walled Off Hotel Emblem. The artwork was personally obtained by me when I visited the Walled Off Hotel. It has a stamp in the lower left corner that reads, "The Walled Off Hotel". Comes with Certificate of Authenticity from the Hotel which also has a stamp on it. The print is in pristine condition and has been stored flat since my arrival back from the Hotel. Also has four crisp corners and is in near mint/mint condition. Any questions please and thank you ask away. Banksy’s career—filled with art world pranks and political activism—has produced a variety of posters showcasing the street artist’s wry sense of humor. Commissioned by Greenpeace to protest global deforestation, Banksy’s early poster Save or Delete (2002) features blindfolded characters from Disney’s The Jungle Book standing amidst a devastated landscape. In 2005, Banksy pranked The Museum of Modern Art by secretly installing a painting of a Tesco Value soup can (a spoof on Andy Warhol’s famous silkscreens of Campbell’s Soup Cans) in one of its galleries—a hoax that went unnoticed by the museum’s staff for six days and inspired a series of Tesco Value soup can posters years later. Collectible Banksy posters...
