On Silverlode Road - Oversized Large Abstract Figurative Original Artwork
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Swedish artist Jonas Fisch’s imagery is vibrantly buzzing with colorful commentary on society - past and present - morphed into figures, words, and shapes. His heavily layered canvases are the foundations of a new visual dialogue. Fisch paints with a jazz-like spontaneity, expressing personal emotions, commenting on contemporary society, and exploring old mythologies. Formulating a galaxy of the unknown, Fisch’s textural paintings flood the mind with possibility. His process is instinctive and organic, the paintings energetic and vibrant, emerging from his subconscious without judgment. They are constructed by feelings trying to find harmony. Endless figures, messages, layers, and symbols move in and out of focus as the eye explores his puzzle pieces with varied solutions. Jonas Fisch created this large colorful 93-inch tall by 67-inch wide painting with mixed media. acrylic, and oil stick on canvas. This artwork is stretched and is ready to hang. It is signed by the artist on the back of the painting. This artwork does not require framing. Free delivery is available for those in the local Los Angeles area, and affordable worldwide shipping is available for US and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with the artwork, ensuring that the piece is an authentic work of art from Jonas Fisch. Born in a small fisherman's village in southern Sweden, contemporary artist Jonas Fisch discovered his love for drawing and painting at a young age and was inspired to pursue his passion by renowned artist and grandmother Ann-Marie Sjögren. Fisch reflects, “As a fundamentally introspective person, I have an explosive need to express and communicate my innermost rays, reflections, and shadows. The canvas, the brush, and the paint allow me to act out, throw up, confront, and examine those innermost feelings. Painting becomes my outlet. At a certain moment, each shape, stroke, and color suddenly takes over and the painting reveals itself. It becomes an expressive personal collaboration of art." Fisch's artworks have been exhibited across the United States, Switzerland, and Hong Kong. His paintings can be found in private collections worldwide. 18th Century New England Cartographer's Office - Kupjack Studios Miniature Room
Located in Chicago, IL
Cartography, the study and practice of making and using maps, was at the cutting edge in the 18th-century, helping to shape and define a world rapidly coming into focus. Over the course of the century, exploration and colonization expanded the scope of the known world, especially in the Pacific and the Americas. Advances in geography enabled cartographers to map these new discoveries with increasing accuracy. The days of conjecture and myth in cartography were fast coming to an end. Here, the Kupjack Studios has captured this discipline with exacting details. From the smallest of tools, to the rolls of maps and maps in progress displayed on the desk, the world of miniatures comes to life and brings us into a bygone era. Kupjack Miniatures 18th Century New England Cartographer, circa. 2008 mixed media 14h x 26.25w x 14.75d in 35.56h x 66.67w x 37.47d cm KJK001 Eugene Kupjack and his sons Hank and Jay created museum quality miniature rooms in their studio outside of Chicago for many years. Hank and Jay learned the at their father’s side as he assisted Mrs. Narcissa Niblack Thorne with the creation her many miniature rooms now housed at The Art Institute of Chicago. Almost every piece of molding, furniture, rugs, and accessory items that are contained in their rooms are designed and created by hand. In addition to designing and building rooms they would sometimes work to restore the rooms built many years ago by their father and Mrs. Thorne. Their work can be seen in various museums as far away as Turkey where they were exhibited in 2009. In the United States their work can be seen in the permanent collections of The Kentucky Museum Center, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Philadelphia Art Museum...

Ocean of Conversations, I Wonder What Speaks Beneath
Located in Ibadan, Oyo
At first glance, the central figure seated on the couch draws our attention. His posture suggests a moment of introspection, an invitation for viewers to peer into his internal world. The placement of the bottle of alcohol at his feet immediately introduces a layer of symbolism, hinting at the potential for inner turmoil and emotional struggles. The artwork encapsulates the notion that some of the most significant conversations we engage in are not the ones with others but the dialogues we have with ourselves. The inner voice, often unacknowledged but constantly present, plays a pivotal role in shaping our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Whether we are conscious of it or not, our self-talk influences our perception of the world, our self-esteem, and our overall well-being. Adetayo's portrayal deftly captures the spectrum of self-talk. On one end, the inner dialogue can be a source of positivity and empowerment, much like a guiding light illuminating our path. These self-affirming conversations inspire us, boost our confidence, and encourage us to pursue our dreams. Just as sunlight glistens on the ocean's surface, these moments of self-assuredness infuse our lives with brilliance and hope. On the other hand, the presence of the alcohol bottle suggests a darker side to self-talk. Just as the ocean's depths can conceal hidden currents, negative self-talk can be equally concealed, festering below the surface. The artwork serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us that unchecked negativity can erode our self-confidence and well-being. This juxtaposition underscores the importance of cultivating a conscious and compassionate inner dialogue. "Ocean of Conversations, I Wonder What Speaks Beneath" stands as a mirror reflecting our own inner landscapes. It prompts us to consider the conversations we engage in with ourselves—do we uplift and motivate or do we undermine and doubt? Adetayo's creation invites us to reflect on our own patterns of self-talk and the ways in which they shape our experiences. Adeniyi Joshua...

"Champagne Poppy Meadow" Contemporary Mixed Media Floral Painting on Canvas
Located in New York, NY
This painting by Antoinette is a stylish and luxurious mixed media on canvas piece depicting abstract flowers with bold use of color and contrast. The gold leaf background and the brilliant deep crimson and violets from the florals allows for the luminosity to shine through effortlessly, as the lines and intricate details of the silk paper laid over paint and mixed media add a most interesting texture. The artist's hand embellishes gold leaf to add elegant accents. This painting comes housed in a black oak floater frame with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed. Art measures 47 x 63 inches Frame measures 48.5 x 64.5 inches Antoinette Ferwerda is a renowned Australian artist largely recognized for producing a bold collection of fine artwork that joyfully explores the geometry of shape and the changing light from dusk to dawn. Championing her love for shape, reflection, and nature using a diverse pallet of mixed media to portray her abstract interpretations of nature. Antoinette's diverse past and a childhood that was somewhat nomadic has inspired much of her work today. Antoinette’s backstory reads like something out of an adventure series, having spent her early days living in remote pockets of Papua New Guinea, where she was lucky to spend time in a seaside shack on Ela Beach in Port Moresby, as well as the volcanic town of Rabaul, the Cargo Port Lae, before moving on to Darwin where her Dad worked for the Red Cross and helped with the re-build process after Cyclone Tracy. This was followed by a family stint in Europe, visiting Netherlands, London, Belgium, France, Italy, and Switzerland, before finally settling back in Melbourne for her formative years. Her love for nature and exploring the patterns and relationships she finds within started early. “I’ve been forever fascinated with color and the magical interplay of light”. “Blessed to have a teacher Mum who fostered regular creative time during our nomadic stint, my childhood was largely spent creating, especially outdoors”. Never without a pen, sketchbook or scraps of paper, her natural ability to create in layers instinctively started in these early years. Although her work continues to evolve, she consistently creates works that are rich in layers, resulting in pieces that are optimistic, luminous and full of stories from her colorful life. Her signature work is abundant with color and texture, resulting in a transparent quality of her works. Adaptable to any palette, Antoinette has produced works from a diversity of spectrums and mediums – sun-soaked, muted and ethereal, vibrant, as well as monochromatic with accents of gold. Her themes include abstract and metaphysical interpretations of fossicking in rock pools, exploring the rolling hills of the countryside both here and abroad, the rock formations of the Australian outback and the magical light of a European summer to name just a few. Her dream and longing to become an artist became a reality after starting her own family and farewelling a corporate life in the pharmaceutical industry, with her debut solo exhibition in 2014. Six years on, Antoinette has fast become a firm favorite amongst interior designers, stylists and home decorators alike, having been represented by fenton&fenton, Thom Gallery and Trit House (formally Click On Furniture) to name just a few. Continually experimenting and evolving as an artist, Antoinette invites the viewer to look deeper through surface layers to find hidden stories of color and form. Past collections have been inspired by visits to the bustling markets of India, the morning light outside her childhood beach shack...

Mumbo Jumbo BK#1 - Ironic Figurative Painting with Pink and Blue Colors
Located in New York, NY
Francks Deceus’ “Mumbo Jumbo BK#1” is a 20 x 16 inch acrylic paint, color pencil, and collage painting on canvas. The main colors are pink, blue and red. The image is very playful, showing a man dressed as a superhero standing next to an entangled fire hose. The title “Mumbo Jumbo, is inspired by Ishmael Reed’s book under the same titled, where he attempted to capsulate the complexities of the African American experience. For Deceus is about capturing the complexity of his experience as an immigrant from Haiti back in the 1970s. A series of very colorful and playful works, focusing on the adventures of one figure named “Cappy”. The name is derived from Deceus family home town, Cap Haitien. Cappy is Deceus alter-ego; The images are intentionally drawn in the vein of comic strips with Cappy as the superhero. He goes out in the world and has to solve the kind of frightening experiences Deceus knew about as a Haitian immigrant, which in the paintings are ironically represented by the hose/snake snarling Cappy. Stylistically Deceus work incorporates many of the aesthetic forms of artists like Norman Lewis and Howardena...
