David Fertig
Dahlias in a Vase in the manner of Vuillard by David Fertig

1987

About the Item

David Fertig tends to be more well known for his depictions of historic interpretations of events. He did a series of flowers on tables or in a vase, and even a large screen adorned with flowers and garden elements. These works are more reminiscent of Vuillard. The soft colors complement to beauty of the flowers. This work, 'Dahlias" is from that series. In 1967, he received his BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art. In 1972 he received his MFA from The Art Institute of Chicago. He was exhibited mostly along the east coast in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware. Recently he has exhibited in California.
