She explores questions of identity and masquerading using the animal kingdom, and employs painting, drawing, and sculpture to create a complex body of work that evokes ideas about – and criticisms of – role-playing in human society, a theme that is particularly relevant today. Inventive, technically brilliant, and rich in fantasy, her works leave a lasting impression. In addition to their precise technique and elements of surprise, they are also distinguished by their substantial depth.
