Two horses, one upright and the other upside down, gallop at the center of the composition. A little girl holding a croquet mallet cries in the corner while a clown cutting a string floats above. This imagery evokes the period in life when one leaves behind the toys and connections of childhood. Artist Libby Ramage made this piece using gel plate prints on orange rice paper.

About the Artist
Artist Libby Ramage transforms everyday scraps into expressive visual poetry, blending humor, grief, and passion. Teaching kids for two decades and witnessing their bold, uninhibited creativity has deeply shaped her approach. "Some children have never seen paint or clay, yet they create amazing images with their first use of real artist materials," says Libby. She often incorporates their abandoned works into her collages. Libby paints in a converted dining room filled with artwork and collected objects, including Mexican folk art. Aside from painting, she teaches young students and performs Flamenco with her local class.
