About the Item
Monica DeSalvo’s “Up on the hill across the blue lake” is a 16 x 16 inch surreal collage on watercolor paper. A whimsical composition with a circle of white milk, a ring of yellow fresh pasta, and dark blue beans and berries swirl over an abstract, painted light blue background with strands of pale pink. Orange marker, black markings, and other mixed media embellish the surface. The 8.75 x 7.75 inch image is in a 16 x 16 x 1.25 inch natural wood beveled frame with a white acid free mat. The signature is on the back of the paper.
Monica DeSalvo is a Boston-based mixed-media artist and designer. She received her BFA in Visual Design from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Her work has been shown in many shows both juried and invitational and is a part of collections across the US and Europe. She is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston.
