About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Stacked and Arranged” is a 14 x 11 inch unique mixed media contemporary print depicting 4 iterations of the classic children’s stacking toy presented in a square format in tones of blue, pink, yellow and grey. Consisting of block printing ink, gouache, digital inkjet on Yupo translucent paper, deGrandpre embraces creative photography, printmaking, and digital art in this playful piece. The artist applies layer upon layer of the mediums creating a double exposed, textured and ghostly appearance.
DeGrandpre received her BFA in Visual Design from University of Massachusetts. Her graphic design background is evident in her thoughtful compositions that combine the familiar with the abstract. This memory evoking one of a kind pictorial will be a welcomed addition to any modern collection and will ship flat ready for the frame of your choice.
DeGrandpre has exhibited throughout the United States including three solo exhibitions. deGrandpre’s work has been featured in various periodicals as well as being the recipient of various awards in both Fine Art and Printmaking. Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
