"Blue Kimono, " Reclaimed Steel Sculpture, 2012
Located in Chicago, IL
Upon discovering a weathered steel drum that had been warped to resemble the sleeve of a garment, artist Gordon Chandler was inspired to embark on a series of kimono sculptures formed from found metal scraps. With an eye to the aesthetic possibilities of this humble material, Chandler invests the reclaimed steel with sculptural fluidity and a wry sense of form.
Flattened with the center portion rolled out, this discarded barrel takes on the look of a traditional kimono...

Vintage Jerusalem Sculpture Wall Plaque 1930's Palestine Israeli Bezalel School
Located in Surfside, FL
Repousse sculptural plaque from the original Bezalel Art School in Jerusalem.
This is marked "Made in Palestine" as it is from the British Mandate period. It is in an Orientalist design of the Tower of David. marked in Hebrew and English.
Jerusalem's Bezalel School
The Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, was founded in 1906 by Boris Schatz. In 1903, Schatz met Theodore Herzl and became an ardent Zionist. At the Zionist Congress of 1905, he proposed the idea of an art school in the Yishuv (early Jewish settlements), and in 1906 he moved to Israel and founded the Bezalel School of Art in Jerusalem. Bezalel, which was a school for crafts as well as for graphic art, became successful very rapidly. Schatz’s vision was to develop useful arts and crafts among Palestinian Jews, thereby decreasing the dependence on charity. At the same time, he sought to inspire his students to create a Jewish national style of the arts, in order to promote the Zionist endeavor. The inhabitants of 19th-century Palestine, both Jewish and non-Jewish, had produced mostly folk art, ritual objects and olive-wood and shell-work souvenirs, as well as oil painting, sculpture, tapestry and mosaics. So the founding of Bezalel provided a professional and ideological framework for the arts and crafts in Jerusalem. The school employed workers and students, of whom there were 450 in 1913, in manufacturing, chiefly for export, decorative articles ranging from cane furniture, inlaid frames and ivory and wood carvings, to damascene and silver filigree and repousse work.
A major part of Schatz’s school was the workshops, which, starting with rug-making and silversmithing, eventually offered 30 different crafts. Workshops included the "Menorah" workshop where they designed relief and souvenirs made of terra-Cotta, and the Sharar, Stanetsky and Alfred Salzmann workshops where Menorah lamps...

Ramp Figure, Bronze Sculpture, Black color by Modern Indian Artist "In Stock"
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
K.S. Radhakrishnan - Ramp Figure
Bronze Sculpture
H 12.75 x W 7 x D 6 inches
K.S. Radhakrishnan working with Musui & Maiya, Musui potraits has a hand Rickshaw puller as is still prevalent in few parts of Bengal.
The bronze figures are elfin, mischievous, airy, acrobatic, and archaic, delicately balancing on one hand or leg. He renders a sensuous quality to his works by deploying extraordinary body movements of his figures.
Radhakrishnan is a distinctive and appealing presence on the modern Indian sculpture scene. He says: “For me bronze works best because it is strong, and brings out the character of my sculptures. Although it takes time, the process also becomes a part of my art form.”
Style : K.S Radhakrishnan is one of the most notable among the new generation of sculptors. Like many of his contempories he is a figurative sculptor, but his preference for modelling and bronze casting sets him apart from the rest of them. Recharging age old sculptural processes with a new sensibility, thus is the singular challenge he brings to modern Indian sculpture. And this makes him a modernist - who approaches his work with discernible ambition and considerable aplomb while steering clear of brinkmanship.
Radhakrishnan's works often drawn from the emotions and myths of the Hindu gods, such as Shiva, Kali and Radha. His sculptures are often larger than life-sized; placed in the outdoors, they evoke a superhuman atmosphere. Over the years, Radhakrishnan has experienced with alternate sculpting mediums, working in molten bronze, beeswax and Plaster of Paris. The physical process of working with the materials becomes a performance in itself. The sculpture is the product of a tactile engagement with his medium.
With celebration of sensuality as one of its running themes, his works is at once both intimate and universal in its appeal. A personal commemorative sculpture, with a scale and presence that holds well in natural settings, his work has found permanent home in a number of public collections all over the world.

Meteorite Twannberg 128 gramms Swiss Hexahedrite Iron Shaped by Nature TW 1253
Located in Meinisberg, CH
A Natural Iron Sculpture Shaped by Nature
The sculptured Meteorite is presented on a polished, black and white flamed marble block and held in place by a strong magnet. The specimen can be removed or positioned according to the liking of the owner.
DETAILS:
• Weight: 128 grams
• Dimensions: Ca. 70 x 55 x 25 mm
• Find Date: 27th of December 2018
• Find spot: 47° 8.193’ N / 7°8.320’ E
• Treatment: The Specimen’s surface has been desalinated and coated with micro layer of paraffin (reversable)
• Official name: TW 1253
About the Swiss Twannberg Meteorite:
• Fall occurred about 150'000 years ago or earlIer
• To date (end of 2021) 2020 individual fragments have been found
• Total weight 150 kilograms
• Rare Hexahedrite / Octahedrite IIG iron
• Worldwide there are only six meteorites classified as Hexaedrite IIG iron, out of which the Twannberg is the only European fall.
• Very low nickel content of 4.5 %
• High content of phosphorus within crystalline Schreibersite (Iron phosphide)
• The Twannberg meteorite is by far the biggest of the eleven Swiss meteorites known to date
• The strewn field is one of the largest in Europe and probably the best documented fall in the world
Worldwide shipping is complimentary - There are no additional charges for handling & delivery.
I am a member of the Citizen-Science-Project organized by Professor Doctor Beda Hofmann, head of Earth Sciences department, of the Natural History Museum of Berne, Switzerland, researching the strewn field of the Twannberg meteorite on the Plateau de Diesse in Switzerland.
Every found meteorite is analyzed for its metallurgical composition, measured and inspected for inclusions in the oxidation crust, flow lines and other surface properties. The meteorite is given its unique number beginning with TW for ‘Twannberg’ and then returned in accordance with the agreement between the Cantone of Berne and the finder – Meaning all finds are shared, depending on weight and rarity.
We search in all seasons a large area in the Bernese Jura up to about 1500 meters above sea with sophisticated metal detectors – sometimes in lovely pasture, other times we negotiate very steep, forested slopes taking considerable risks. Unfortunately, we get a huge number of false signals and dig up a considerable number of discarded and lost metal objects, such as horse and cow shoes, nails, bits of fencing, artillery fragments and bullets, rubbish, etc. To find one meteorite a searcher has to dig hundreds of false signals often in arduous conditions. Hence, we have only found 2000 individual specimens since 1984.
Many finders hold on to their allocated meteorites, so few of those rare good quality specimens actually reach the open market.
I am happy to pass on my larger meteorites, whilst I hold on to the small, gem quality Twannberg meteorites, which I plan to use for my new, upcoming jewelry collection.
Not all specimens found are of the same quality. Being iron they are often heavily oxidized, become instable and start to crumble. However, a small percentage of meteorites fell into an area, where the acidic soil layer is very thin and sunk down on the more stable, alkaline lime gravel layer which makes up the Jura hills – virtually a more or less neutral zone. So, I would estimate about 10% of all meteorites are found, still retaining parts of their dark, outer crust after all those years. If it happens, that the spot is located high enough, i.e. out of reach of the glaciers which covered the area at least twice since the fall and mulled everything over in their path, the meteorite would wait unharmed patiently for over 150’000 years for someone to find it. If then, the meteorite is above average weight and it displays an attractive sculptured shape, we are talking about the absolute rarest possible type of Twannberg Meteorite, of which there were only a few hand full found.
I am selling here a well sized, superbly sculptured, Twannberg meteorite specimen...

Vintage Chicago Architect Stanley Tigerman Cloisonne Enamel Art Necklace Acme
Located in Surfside, FL
This is new old stock vintage Jewelry from the legendary Acme Studio collection, which created many revolutionary jewelry items. It was handmade in the 1980s using the intricate cloisonné process, an ancient technique for decorating metal; hence any imperfections within the colors are to be expected and inherent which makes it unique and one-of-a-kind.
This piece is worn around the neck, like a bolo tie.
The Memphis Designers for Acme collection debuted in 1986, at the opening of the Memphis/Milano exhibition at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York City. The entire collection is in the permanent collection of the Groninger Collection in The Netherlands and is represented in other museum collections worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum in New york city. In 1981 Ettore Sottsass formed a design collaborative name Memphis Design. The Memphis Design Group drew inspiration from such movements as Art Deco and Pop Art producing jewelry, furniture, lighting and fabrics from 1981 to 1988.
