Artist Onelio Marrero paints an endearing moment of two young girls having a slumber party. They are reading in a dimly lit room, illuminated only by a flashlight and the fading dusk behind the blinds. "My use of lighting and spontaneous brushwork is reminiscent of the styles of Sargent and Sorolla," shares Onelio. The perfect harmony of red, blue, and yellow hues creates an enchanting atmosphere that evokes a sense of nostalgia in the viewer.

Artist Onelio Marrero paints impressionist scenes of everyday life. Whether he captures the romanticism of New York City or the soothing quiet of a rippling pond, he infuses each piece with the visual magic of the moment. He studied at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where he mastered discerning color and values—giving him the tools to create work with superb spontaneous appearance.
