PIOTR FĄFROWICZ (born in 1958). He studied art history at the Catholic University of Lublin. He deals with painting and graphic design. Winner of numerous awards for illustrations, including 2001 - 2nd Award at the Biennale of Illustration in Aki Town, Japan 2003 - IBA distinction in the 2003 Book of the Year competition - Distinction at the Illustration Biennale in Aki Town, Japan, 2003 - The Best Book of the Year 2003 prize in the PTWK competition 2004 - IBBY PS distinction in the Competition Book of the Year 2005 - Entry on the list of White Ravens - Internationale Jugendbibliothek, Munich 2005 - Award in the PTWK Competition The Most Beautiful Book of the Year 2005 In 2008, he was listed on the IBBA Honorary List in the Illustrator category.

Piotr Fąfrowicz
Piotr Fąfrowicz was born in 1958 in Białystok and grew up in Szczecin. He studied art history at the Catholic University of Lublin. He deals with painting and graphic design. He is the winner of numerous awards for illustrations, including 2nd prize and a distinction at the International Bienniale of Illustrations in Aki Town, Japan in 2001, IBA distinction in 2003 in the Book of the Year competition, The Best Book of the Year 2003 prize in the PTWK competition 2004, IBBY PS distinction in the Competition Book of the Year 2005, Entry on the list of White Ravens - Internationale Jugendbibliothek, Munich in 2005 and Award in the PTWK Competition for The Most Beautiful Book of the Year 2005. In Copenhagen, the book Big changes in the big forest was placed on the IBBY honorary list in 2008.

Early Twentieth Century Aviation Vintage Aircraft Airplane Framed Gouache Paintings.
Three paintings by the well known Artist and Illustrator Charles Thomas Howard they were each painted to be published as postcards, so these are the original artworks. They are in good clean condition with fresh and vibrant colours, I have framed them in handmade gold frames with a flecked cream mount. They can be purchased individually or as a set, they do look striking displayed as a group. This is the Miles Sultan aircraft.

Charles Thomas Howard was born in Boston, Lincolnshire in 1865 and after he married in 1905 moved to London where he pursued his career as Painter and Illustrator. He did many works that were produced as postcards as these three all were. He worked for at least three publishers and was incredibly highly sought after. His work was diverse but he specialised in Aviation, Railways and Military subjects.
His work is held in many Art Libraries including the Bridgeman and as postcards have been reprinted many times over the years and still resonate with todays audiences.
He died at the age of 76 in West Sussex.
