About the Item

ZenCaos After I had built up a decent body of work and started showing it publicly, I wanted to grow—I wanted to reach a new audience. I began sending emails to galleries and art spaces I admired, but all I got was “no.” That rejection challenged me. I knew I needed to elevate my work—to go bigger in scale, and I craved a proper studio. At the same time, I was growing frustrated with the art world itself. How does this system even work? Who gets to decide what art is “seen”? That frustration fueled my next collection: Zen Chaos. It was a challenge to stay grounded while everything felt chaotic. The technique involved literally scratching at the canvas— digging through the surface to reveal what was underneath. It became a form of meditation, a way to process both the outer rejection and inner tension. This collection is a reflection of trying to stay calm in the storm. Albion Vu is an architect, fashion designer and an abstract painter living between NYC and Martha's Vineyard. Born and raised in Eastern Europe, he moved to the USA after graduating in Architecture and Design. Albion has practiced abstract painting and fashion design and is constantly creating pieces that are a mark of his artistic life. Some of the main sources of his inspiration to make art are color, shapes, silhouettes, structure, texture, depth, and simplicity. From ArtDaily NEW YORK, NY.- Albion Vu’s latest exhibition at ARTNET in New York City is a masterclass in the manipulation of color and form. Vu, known for his vibrant and dynamic compositions, continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art with his latest works. This exhibition, which runs from June 15 to July 30, 2024, showcases Vu’s unique ability to blend abstract expressionism with a keen sense of narrative, creating pieces that are both visually stunning and intellectually stimulating.
