About the Item

History of the Horizon (1) is by young Cuban artist Alejandro Jurado who lives and paints in his studio in Havana, Cuba, The painting is 60 x 50. For shipping purposes it is best to be sent rolled in a tube to save on shipping cost. The gallery suggests just having it stretched and not framed to keep it simple. ARTIST STATEMENT: All part of my personal experience, of connected moments in memory, the stories of each work are timeless, they flow with each other, past present and future work as a whole. The composition and structure of the landscape is only to locate them in time and space, you can see references to a certain place, but everything is from perception and interpretation can be places that have not been inhabited from there comes the abstraction, it is physical. a landscape from within to talk about autobiographical themes. Personal stories and experiences that are not shared, only the feeling that in each work something happens and that something is very important to be painted, this explains serial works always function as an archive of each stage, each personal change promotes the production of a new series. The musical references have a great weight since they are the soundtrack of each story, hence the wink in the titles, none of this is evident, it is only an ambiguous reference. A testament in sights and sounds.

Coral Drifters is part of the Light in the Deep Series by artist Ellen Hart. Coral Drifters investigates the ubiquitous patterns of light, shadow and reflection that we all experience daily, but that we rarely stop to notice. The works reflect a perceptual duality: a tangible, distinct moment and place when the source pattern is found, intertwined with the fleeting and ephemeral nature of time. As light and atmospheric conditions shift, my source patterns morph, move and change. LOOK FOR FREE SHIPPING AT CHECKOUT This can be seen as an underwater landscape...

Original painting was made underwater during scuba diving by artist Olga Nikitina. Underwater painting is a new fast growing direction in contemporary art. The artwork was created underwater at the depth of 7.1 meters, an underwater painting session of 100 minutes. It is an intuitive painting, based on feelings and emotions in a particular moment underwater. By the influence of the underwater environment, the feeling of no gravity, colorful impression, another reality - It feels different, the brain works differently, colors and shapes just blow your mind and you feel a kind of explosion. What is special about underwater painting - color perception is different from reality because color rays do not penetrate the water column. On the surface, it is always a surprise. There is a certificate of underwater painting is included with information about the depth and time of the underwater painting session.
