Stunning carved abstract calligraphy artwork on wood panel by Bahrain artist Ali Al Mahmeed, Signed verso. Size: 29.5 x 48 in / 75 x 122 cm (framed).
Spanning over 30 years, Ali Al Mahmeed has carved out a career as an artist, eventually becoming one of the founding members of The Bahrain Arts Society and the current President of the Society. He has represented the Society in numerous cultural events and art exhibitions in Bahrain and internationally.
His work has an aura of mystery and participates in the simplicity and complexity of whichever subject he explores. With humor and poignancy, his art explores nature, social transition, and everything else around him.
Al Mahmeed is Chairman of the Bahrain International Sculptures Symposium, and his work is displayed in the Bahrain National Museum as well as in private collections in Bahrain, Kuwait, London, Beirut, Dubai, Finland, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Russia, France, Cyprus, Oman, and Jordan.
Winner of numerous prestigious prizes and awards, Al Mahmeed continues to participate in many national and international exhibitions worldwide.
