Sensational abstract oil painting by the French female artist, Beatrice Werlie (born 1974).
This fabulous cubist style painting is a portrait of a lone figure, based on a red hue background, with a soft range of grey, blue and green. This beautiful face is very angular, looking like they could possibly be styled with a David Bowie influence?
Cubism is an early-20th-century avant-garde art movement that revolutionised European painting and sculpture, and inspired related movements in music, literature and architecture. Cubism has been considered the most influential art movement of the 20th century.
The work has excellent provenance having come from a large collection of the artists work in Normandy, France. The artist exhibits with the Galerie Artitude, Paris.
