About the Item
Pangea III is part of a series of paintings on plexiglass that depicts land masses. The maze like patterns are created using a router (woodworking tool) and rabbiting a 1/16" groove into the plexiglass. The pattern is done freehand and happens in the moment unplanned. Paint is then used to highlight the pattern and then the background is painted black. The effect is complex, saturated, and precise.
The piece comes in a 1.25"x 1.75" black frame, and uses D rings for mounting. Piece can be presented in landscape or in portrait.
