Maikol de Sousa (Caracas, Venezuela), also known as Borneo, is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Barcelona. His work is characterized by vibrant colors, patterns, and characters that serve as a starting point in the development of his particular visual language. Borneo's pieces are deeply influenced by various creative sources, with a particular focus on the culture of the late '80s and '90s: from high-brow Memphis-inspired design to urban counterculture movements, passing through tropicalia and pop art, and always with a contemporary twist.
