Artist Palette / Suits - Photorealistic Painted Abstract Figurative Artwork

2020

About the Item

Califonia artist, Brandon Neher captivates with his figurative abstract artworks that seamlessly blend German Expressionism and Pop Abstraction. His original paintings on canvas embody a profound exploration of space, structure, and balance, infused with a touch of modern minimalism. Drawing inspiration from his coastal upbringing in California, Neher's art reveals layered references to his surroundings, merging physical and subconscious energies to create captivating shapes and patterns. This exceptional abstract artwork measures 38 inches high by 47 inches wide, showcasing Neher's fascination with artificial naturalism. Depicting a juxtaposition of figurative and abstract imagery, this artwork is photo-realistically painted with acrylic on canvas. The artwork's sides are painted, eliminating the need for framing, and it comes wired and ready to hang. Neher's signature and title grace the back of the painting, ensuring its authenticity. Free delivery is available for those in the local Los Angeles area, and affordable worldwide shipping is available for US and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery accompanies your purchase. Born in Burbank, California, in 1983, Brandon Neher's artistic journey began after studying at the Brooks Institute of Photography for three years. His artistic prowess extends across a diverse range of mediums, including 16mm film, watercolor, oil, sculpture, charcoal, photography, mixed media collage, and print transfers. Neher finds inspiration in German expressionist painters, admiring their ability to convey narratives on canvas. His own creative process involves carefully considering his images before bringing them to life, layering colors in a way that invites viewers to perceive familiar elements in a fresh and enlightening manner. Brandon Neher's artwork has garnered attention and acclaim, with exhibitions and collectors spanning the United States. His creations have even graced television productions such as ABC Family's Secret Life of the American Teenager, HGTV's Design on a Dime, and NBC's The Biggest Loser. "Aquatic Forest" Contemporary Large Scale Abstract Painting, violet, turquoise
By Debra Drexler
Located in New York, NY
This is a large scale, contemporary abstract painting by the New York/ Hawaiian artist, Debra Drexler. Vertical elongated forms in rose pink, mauve, lavender and turquoise blue rise over a layered field of cream white brushed with violet. Washes of red and orange fade into hot pink in this vibrant abstract painting by the artist. You can see the influence of tropical colors in this canvas and a wistful yearning for the beach and the sea. Debra Drexler is an American painter, installation artist, curator and professor. Her work is informed both by participating in the contemporary resurgence of abstraction coming out of New York, and by living in the Post Colonial Pacific since 1992. She has participated in over thirty solo and over 100 group exhibitions in national and international venues including Front Room Gallery, Exit Art, The Drawing Center, White Box-The Annex, Art Finance Partners, Van Der Plas Gallery, Sideshow Gallery, and Denise Bibro Gallery in New York, as well The Honolulu Museum of Art and Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Debra Drexler is a Professor at the University of Hawaii, where she is Chair of the Drawing and Painting Area. She maintains studios in Brooklyn, NY and on the island of Oahu in Hawai’i. Debra Drexler's most recent work is highly experimental large-scale abstract painting. In a recent review of a two-person exhibition (Whitehot Magazine,2017) Drexler's work as clearly referencing the long tradition of American abstraction and the established legacy of the New York School. The reviewer, Jonathan Goodman, described the work as a “new non-objectivity” that comes out of the current moment. He states that Drexler's painting “quite accurately describes the spirit of abstract art today, in which painting is struggling to break free of the constraints of time." Debra Drexler frequently uses hot pink, a color with heavily gendered associations. Her hot pink brushstrokes...
