About the Item
This large canvas is inspired by the wonderful Lower Flower Farm in Hampshire. It was begun in August when the green leaves of the flower beds were beginning to fade and the wildflower meadow behind had turned a reddy shade of brown. Based on sketches done in situ I have concentrated on the pockets of shadow and sunlight and the antirhinum heads standing proudly on their own. A semi abstract painting which takes colour and mark as its driving force. The canvas is hand stretched.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
CAROLINE HALL worked as a reporter and presenter with the BBC in Southampton before moving to Berlin in 2000 with her family. She graduated from Winchester School of Art with a first class honours degree in Visual Art in 2004, and completed a Masters in Painting in 2007. She was named as an Artist to Watch by emerging arts specialists Degree Art in 2009. Her work is in collections worldwide.
