A colorful vintage 1940s - 1950s modernist oil on canvas abstract painting by the 20th Century American sculptor and painter, Charles Luedtke. Painting is of a fragmented costumed clown, the artist was a native of Wisconsin, he also excelled creating modernist steel fine art sculptures, a few of which can be seen on 1st dibs currently. Grapefruit Moon Gallery recently acquired an interesting collection of paintings by the artist Lester Molleson which also included this example by Luedtke. Painting is handsomely framed in an ornate wide profile wood gallery frame and ready to enjoy. Canvas measures 20" X 25" framed to 27.5" X 32.5", the canvas is signed by the artist on the back.
