About the Item
Cindy Ng started with prints and was influenced by Chinese ink paintings. Since 2005, she records the ink movement on water on video. Furthermore, she adds acrylic paints and liquid materials such as milk, coffee and soy sauce with Chinese ink. Different materials flow, combine and collide to each other naturally and freely. She was obsessed with the flow of inks and liquids and observed how “ ink’s personality mutates depending on the medium in which it is utilized”. So she took pictures of collision among materials and then print images on glass by giclee print. Cindy Ng's art presents fusion art that is based on Chinese splash ink landscape and integrates the technique of performance and photography. Cindy Ng creates a new perspective of Chinese contemporary ink.
Ship in tube
This item will arrive rolled in a dent-resistant tube. This method is especially safe for oversized works, and provides lower shipping costs as well. Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer upon arrival.
