About the Item
The Light Within was inspired by the changing colors of the leaves in the fall. At their height, they can be stunningly beautiful, and yet they are so impermanent. As they begin to fade and the branches become bare, it can seem at first glance to be a sad loss. Yet it lets you see how every tree has grown and changed over the past year. It gives us a chance to recognize their transformation and celebrate it. That transformational feeling is reflected in the red paint and gold leaf, which evoke the fiery colors of autumn. Fire is another symbol of transformation, and it reminds us that all-consuming change can bring spiritual power and enlightenment.
