Cynthia says this painting was inspired by the enticing yet subtle colors that appear in the early winter landscape. A block of pale yellow worked over with blues and pops of red, orange and green. Spattered and running paint, and areas of refined color work energize the scene.
About the Artist
Cynthia Ligeros creates abstract, complex works that usually begin with a single driving emotion. She currently lives in Colorado and loves the work of many artists, such as Mark Rothko. Cynthia loves finding inspiration in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. If you look closely at any of her paintings, you can find a little bit of blue sky hidden somewhere.
