An Atlanta native, Daniel Byrd (b. 1994) has been strongly influenced by the constant energy of the city for as long as he can remember. As a born mark-maker Daniel translates this energy onto two- dimensional surfaces, creating a space where a variety of marks communicate and compete with one another for visual dominance. The seeming effortless execution and creativity in his paintings belies the hours of intense work that go into his works. Daniel's style is fresh and contemporary and vibrantly colorful. He works mostly in acrylic paint on canvas.
