About the Item
"Spray Paint Cans #2," an artwork by Daniel Maltzman, offers a vibrant glimpse into the artist's dynamic journey. Rows of colorful spray paint cans with vivid tops fill the canvas, embodying his origins as a street artist and the foundation of his current oeuvre. A visual testament to his evolution, the cans serve as symbols of transformation and continuity. Amidst a studio setting, the piece captures a snapshot of his creative process—some cans with spray tips poised for action, others bare and awaiting inspiration. Daniel Maltzman
Born and raised in Beverly Hills, California, Daniel Maltzman has always been interested in pop culture and advertisement. His early career consisted of promoting the hottest clubs in Hollywood and running a successful business in the fashion industry. A switch to the art world was natural for Maltzman as his obsession with creativity and expression only grew with his exposure to the art scene that so profoundly impacted Los Angeles nightlife. Much of Maltzman’s inspiration draws from his relationships with people who have fast-paced lifestyles, fame, and fortune. Maltzman is also fascinated by Los Angeles’ contemporary urban settings and street-style aesthetics. Mixing acrylics with spray paints and juxtaposing graphic images amongst figurative depictions, Daniel Maltzman’s work is captivating and richly dynamic. Striking colors and bold mark-making show evidence of Mark Grotjahn’s influence on Maltzman’s work, and admiration for Andy Warhol’s muses are consistent with Maltzman’s subject of choice. Collectors such as Justin Bieber, Eugenio Lopez, Paris Hilton, J.J. Reddick, Scott Painter, and Steve Tisch, are just a few of the esteemed owners of Maltzman’s growing body of work.

Untitled, East Village Graffiti Art
By Joseph Stabilito
Located in Surfside, FL
JOSEPH STABILITOS work is in many public and private collections in New York, the United States, and Europe. As well, his work can be seen in the upcoming Batman movie being released 2015. Stabilito first displayed his large scale paintings in the windows of Bonwitt Teller, an upscale ladies department store in Philadelphia. That was followed with the first solo exhibition of his work at the Sande Webster Gallery in 1982. He moved to New York the following year, as his paintings were being featured in the windows of Bloomingdales. That made a particular splash, attracting a fan base of notable designers and collectors to his work. Saks Fifth Avenue and Paul Smith prominently put his colorful paintings in their own windows. Stabilito settled into the burgeoning East Village Graffiti art scene, while having gallery shows in Italy, Germany, and across the United States. His work was shown at the prestigious Navy Pier Show in Chicago, and the very first Miami Art Fair. Stabilito continues to paint today from a studio on Canal Street in Manhattan, and is constantly exploring new directions for his work. His latest paintings...
