Under the Illusion, Original Signed Contemporary Blue Abstract Digital Painting 32" x 24" x 1.5" (HxWxD) Archival Print on Canvas Hand-signed by the artist in verso. This abstract digital painting by artist Denise Dundon conveys both tranquility and mystery. The soothing color palette consists of green, blue, and turquoise which blend into one another, meeting in the middle in a golden horizon line of sorts. There is a visual texture to the work that makes the surface appear almost glass-like. Artist Commentary: This artwork has lovely shades of brown, gold, teal, and turquoise. There are elements of an abstract landscape, but mostly, this is calm and restful painting with beautiful colors. About the Artist: Denise is originally from Missouri but has lived in Denver, Colorado for over twenty five years. Growing up, she never gave a lot of thought to creating art until her senior year in high school. At that time, she watched some painting shows on television and decided she wanted to learn to paint. She bought some oil paints, and began to teach herself.. She also got a few private lessons with a local artist. About ten years ago, she transitioned to water-soluble oil paints to minimize exposure to any harmful chemicals. She draws her inspiration for painting from nature and likes to paint landscapes. Since she is surrounded by the beauty of the mountains of Colorado, there is a lot of inspiration to draw upon. She also recently has begun branching out to abstract painting with acrylic paints and experimenting with various filters in digital graphics applications.
