About the Item
Abstract minimalist composition by California artist Devon Brockopp-Hammer (American, b. 1986). A layer of thick yellow paint was applied to a reclaimed wood panel, then lines were scraped away to reveal the wood underneath. There is one drip line of teal that contrasts with the yellow. This section is mounted on another wood panel, this time painted a purple-grey. The paint is not completely mixed, allowing some of the brushstrokes and raw color to remain visible.
Titled "Stripes", initialed "DJBH" and dated on verso.
