Artist Comments
Each year, DL Watson travels from her home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to central Oregon to spend the summer. This painting was inspired by the peonies blooming in her garden when she arrives in Oregon.
About the Artist
DL Watson creates semi-abstract paintings with floral and botanical references. Splitting her time between Florida and Oregon, she finds inspiration in the patterns that repeat themselves throughout the natural world. While her paintings are often grounded in her own childhood memories and past experiences, they evoke a beauty that is universal in their natural subject matter. She creates interest and intrigue through the color and movement that she uses to balance her composition.
