About the Item
A painting completed after experiencing the raw beauty of the Inner Hebrides, particularly Skye. The raw dramatic beauty of the landscape and the unpredictable weather fronts that can change so rapidly all feed into my paintings.
It is painted with oils on a deep edge canvas and comes unframed for your own choice of frame or can be hung without a frame. It is 90 x 90cm x 3.56cm depth and is mainly greens blues and greys.

Coastal Mist was painted from a recent visit to Anglesey where the mist was lying over the sea, I used this to create a sense of mystery and of otherness that you can sometimes feel when out in the landscape. The weather on Skye is forever changing and the dramatic and mystical landscapes are what inspires me to try to capture the feeling of energy and atmosphere.
