"Let Me In, Let Me Out" - Abstract Mixed Media Composition
Boldly colored abstract figurative composition by California artist Elizabeth Arrington Leaf (American, B-1955). Three large rectangles frame cutouts of seated women, their faces and bodies partially obscured by paint. Bright orange, pale yellow, and bold red patches make up the majority of the background. The artist has used drips, scrapes, and applied paper to add texture and depth.
Elizabeth Leaf, was born in 1995 in Los Angeles and San Francisco painter. This is an art school work in 1976-1977 at UC-Davis Card Flappers Day. .
Signed and dated "Elizabeth Arrington Leaf WINTER 1977" AND and "E. LEAF" on verso.
