About the Item
“PEACE” is sentimental to the artist. A painting she refused to sell for quite some time. Her grandmother, an artist herself, gifted ETTE a tube of gold paint before she passed away. The gold in the upper left hand corner of this painting, is the very last of that bottle. A ceremonial moment for the artist, tears were shed, and she believes an enormous amount of energy resides in this piece. One of her more chaotic processes while creating it, the title is an oxymoron to the journey she embarked upon for it to come into existence.

ETTE
ETTE is a shamanistic artist using paint to bring energy into the physical form. The name ETTE is derived from a nickname her grandmother gave her as a child, Taylorette. Her grandmother was an international award winning photographer, published illustrator, and successful artist. She unexpectedly passed in November of 2017, two weeks after Taylor moved to New York in pursuit of becoming an artist. It is believed that all of her artistic abilities live on within ETTE. To attest to this statement, it should be known that Taylor grew up right handed, but now paints exclusively with her left. Her grandmother’s dominant hand.
