Artist Biography: Gabriel Godard was born on April 28, 1933 in Delouze in Lorraine. He started painting in 1950 with many of his initial works being figurative. Godard later changed his method and style, and his paintings since 1986 have become purely abstract.
Gabriel Godard is a School of Paris painter, meaning part of a group of artists working between World War I and World War II whose works has been acquired by the French government for the Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
Many of his works have won prizes and continue to do so. Private collections include the United States, Germany, Switzerland, England, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and France.
As an independent and a difficult-to-categorize artist, Gabriel Godard paints what he is from his internal landscape: untiringly tuned to nature's metamorphosis and to that which defines his intimate being. He is described as "ready to capture, in his own way, the slightest emotion, he couples his truth with the truth of the world and his real side with his hidden side.

Gabriel Godard
Gabriel Godard, a self-taught painter, was born in 1933 in Delouze, France. Historically, Godard is considered to be a second generation member of the “École de Paris” (School of Paris). He began painting in 1950, creating mostly figurative works until around 1986, when he turned to abstraction exclusively. His works have been acquired by the French government on behalf of the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris and the Centre Pompidou. Godard’s work can be found in many private collections and institutions around the world, and he has amassed an extensive exhibition history over the past seven decades.

Artist Biography: Clark V. Fox was born in Austin, TX, in 1946. His father in the Army Air Forces, Clark spent the first five years of his life in Honolulu before the family moved to several cities throughout Texas, including Galveston, Houston, Corpus Christi, Hereford and Amarillo. In 1960 just before Clark entered high school, the family settled in Washington, D.C. Clark attended high school in Alexandria, Virginia, a period during which he had a studio with fellow classmates, David Lynch and Jack Fisk. Clark studied with Japanese art master Unichi Hiratsuka at the Japan-American Society of Washington, D.C. (1964-1965). Clark spent his first year of college at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York (1965-66) with part-time stints at Andy Warhol’s “The Factory” studio, after which he returned to D.C., where he received his BFA in 1969 from the Corcoran School of Art.
