This is an exciting mixed media piece that is charming, and laden with bright color. There is a strong theme of geometric forms that break up the background of the piece and draw interest to the more intricate colors of the collage. The painted geometric shapes, over a wash of grey add great interest to the pictorial space. This piece is being sold in a beautiful medium toned wood frame. This piece is signed by the artist on the front of the work.
George Simmons is an Upstate New York artist who focuses on printmaking, painting and fine art photography. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with an MFA in studio art, Simmons exhibits regionally and has been the recipient of photography awards.
