This is a wonderful mixed media piece that is charming, and laden with pops of color.
The background of this piece is a muted light blue-gray that allows for subject of the piece to stand out. in the center of the piece is a group shapes collaged together. Each is brightly colored with red, green and a mix of blue and brown. The painted geometric shapes add great interest to the pictorial space when contrasted with the muted background. This piece is being sold in a beautiful medium toned wood frame. This piece is signed by the artist on the front of the work.
George Simmons is an Upstate New York artist who focuses on printmaking, painting and fine art photography. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with an MFA in studio art, Simmons exhibits regionally and has been the recipient of photography awards.
