About the Item
A big abstract piece in an unusual size for a landscape done in old school layering technique, just like the Dutch masters did it: first handmade gouache, then handmade egg tempera and pastels, graphite. This way the painting can have very soft and tender spots as well as stronger parts with mark making. Also, in this series you will find calligraphy with graphite: the word "Himmel" (sky) is of special beauty to me , so I love to use this word in my paintings. You can also see a structure with graphite, reminding of rain or wind and all the weather and emotions you can experience in nature. 120x80x2 cm, gouache, eggtempera, pastels, oil and graphite on canvas. Sides white with some visible painting traces. Sigend on the back, ready to hang. White or silver frame would look great but is not necessarily needed. Part of a series of two with "Himmel II".
