Glenn Green
Glenn Green started to create his colorful abstract canvases in 2019. After 56 years in the gallery business, he has begun this newest journey. His paintings have strong shapes and textures and invite close contemplation. As a gallerist, he was an advisor, mentor and appreciator to many artists and many forms of art. He grew up in Los Angeles, surrounded by creative people. His father was an accomplished painter, a neighbor made art for Hollywood studios and an uncle directed the construction of movie sets. His dad, George, in addition to doing landscapes of his home state of Texas, made movie posters and later started a sign painting company. Glenn joined him in the sign company after college, later on forming a picture framing business in Phoenix. He started casually displaying the art of local artists there. Glenn and his family curate and exhibit the works of internationally known artists such as Allan Houser, Melanie Yazzie, Khang Pham-New, Yoshida Kenji and many others.
