About the Item

The visual language of the power of the sun is represented through these paintings. Through painting and sculpture, Gregory Robin conveys the feeling of being present in a living, biodiverse ecosystem. He uses colors, anthropomorphic forms and the inner workings of living species. Robins' land art practice encompasses the exploration of ancient earthworks, ecosystems, biodiversity, microclimates, biology, permanent agriculture (also known as permaculture), geology and its intrinsic value to the species that inhabit it. The artist's goal is to create a living installation, establishing a connection with the natural world. From the series Primordial Vibration Signed bottom right corner Unframed

Artist Comments
Artist Jason Astorquia presents a dynamic abstraction of colors in nature. Golden sunlight, white and cream aether, merge in dimensions of stone in soft orange, beige browns, and deep umbers. Linear dimensions overlap with the spectral hues resulting in a sharp and expressive display. Jason brings elements together with trowels on large surfaces with thick layers of earthen texture to create a focused echo of ancient memory.

About the Artist
Jason Astorquia recognizes that money is important to the way we think, act, and relate to one another. His “Impressions” series is made up of abstract paintings that are created using the impressions of pennies. Like the mark of consumption on society, Jason repetitively brands his canvases with the mark of physical money. There is a Pop Art element to the work in its bold primary colors, geometric sense of design, and conceptual meaning. His work is as close as you may get to hanging actual money on your wall, a concept that Andy Warhol introduced and played with in his own work. It is evident that there is a lot of planning and precision that goes into each piece. The compositions are like binary code...
