About the Item

This work is like a mirror into which our psyche gazes, afraid to see its true self. The artist explores the internal barriers that grow in the subconscious, like algae in impenetrable depths, hindering the movement of the personality. The Jungian shadow manifests here in a weaving of forms – they resemble what we do not wish to acknowledge in ourselves, but what tirelessly influences our decisions. The fish, a symbol of the subconscious and transformation, oscillates between two states: free swimming and the formation of knots of limitation. In this struggle, we either break through to the light of awareness, or we remain trapped by ourselves. For who else is to overcome them if not ourselves?
