About the Item

Nebraka-based Jamie Burmeister is a sculptural artist known for his original artworks incorporating original small bronze figures, standing at just up to 4 inches tall. His unique figurative sculptural works have been showcased in galleries, museums, and public art installations worldwide, including notable venues like the Joslyn Art Museum and the Des Moines Art Center. Burmeister's work explores the human experience through humor and absurdity, with a recent focus on incorporating color, which he finds both challenging and inspiring. A recipient of multiple awards, including the 2016 Governor’s Art Awards Outstanding Artist, Burmeister earned his M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Nebraska in 2005. > One-of-a-kind mixed media painting with bronze figures and a bronze bucket on wood, measuring 28 x 18 x 2 inches > Painted surface measures 24 x 18 inches > Combines bold color, dynamic movement, and sculptural elements > Signed by the artist > Wired and ready to hang; no framing required > Includes certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery > Free local delivery in the Los Angeles area > Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available Adding a unique sculptural dimension, a small bronze figurative sculpture about 4 inches tall is thoughtfully secured to the top of the artwork, and another bronze figurative sculpture is attached to the front of the panel. The bronze figures create the narrative of a painter on top securely holding a rope, securing a second painter on the wall who is working to complete an mural consisting of colorful, overlapping circles. Jamie Burmeister signed this original artwork on the back. The artwork is ready to hang. The sides are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not need framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Burmeister's artistic journey is marked by a relentless pursuit of innovation and engagement with diverse audiences. His practice transcends conventional boundaries, as he often incorporates elements of street art and public installation, fostering an interactive experience that invites participation and reflection. The use of humor in his work acts as a catalyst for deeper engagement, allowing viewers to confront uncomfortable themes with a sense of levity. In addition to his gallery exhibitions, his commitment to community-oriented projects demonstrates a keen understanding of art’s potential to transform public spaces. His extensive exhibition history and numerous accolades, including multiple honors from the Nebraska Arts Council, highlight his significant contribution to the contemporary art landscape, positioning him as a vital voice in the discourse surrounding original sculptural art. Large, Blue, Red, Abstract Painting by Late American Artist John Link
By John Link
Located in Greensboro, NC
Dynamic layered blue & red abstract acrylic painting on canvas by the Late Midwestern Artist John Link, mounted in a wood frame. This work, entitled "Temporary Ephedrine", is one of several large Link pieces available exemplifying his technique of richly layering tones of acrylic paint using an alkyd spirit resin. Link detailed this process: “The medium is indeed "acrylic" but not what most people mean by acrylic - which is waterborne acrylic. Instead this is acrylic resin dissolved in turps, with a dash of alkyd resin thrown in to stabilize it so the next layers of paint do not re-dissolve it. Thus it does not muddle up like repeated layers of watercolor can. This stuff does not yellow either, like oil, and a glass of it looks like a glass of water, it is that clear, thus preserving the intensity of the pigment. Also, because it is clear when wet, there is no "pastel effect" like you get with waterborne acrylic, where you must let a glaze dry before you see what you have. It is WYSIWYG to the core." Link (1942 - 2021) was born in Oklahoma City, began his career in Illinois, headed the art dept at Virginia Tech...
