Inspired by 'Osea Island', an idyllic haven basking serenely on the Blackwater Estuary in Essex. It is approximately 380 acres in size and is connected to the north bank of the river by a Roman causeway, covered at high water. The tranquil surroundings led me to create this painting to capture the deep moody blues and greens of the water and the orange ochres of the rugged sand dunes.
