About the Item
'Restless Spring' is inspired by the mist laden spring mornings in the hills of Scotland and uses lush colour and expressive marks to draw you in to explore more. The painting is the largest of a mini collection exploring a palette drawn from a book of colour combinations published in Japan in the 1930's. Painting intuitively, I let the landscape 'appear' through the layers and find the interplay of colour works to describe the wonderful feeling of being in amongst the landscape. Framed in a white tray frame and ready to hang on your wall.

" I am an abstract landscape artist living and working in rural Scotland. My work employs vibrant colour and abstraction to encapsulate the essence of the countryside as I experience it.
I am deeply passionate about art education, with a particular focus on simplifying the intricate realm of colour theory and colour mixing techniques. My aspiration is to cultivate a diverse community of artists from various backgrounds. Together, we can explore, learn, and engage in discussions surrounding the captivating world of colour."
