John McCaw
"Crushed" Mixed Media Painting

$2,500

About

John McCaw's (US based) "Crushed" is an abstract mixed media sculpture/painting made from cardboard on canvas, that depicts a white organic form encircled by black. John McCaw (b. 1967), the eldest son of American expressionist Dan McCaw and brother to painter Danny McCaw, was raised in an environment of art and artist. Being exposed to this type of environment, John found respect and value in many forms of art. Working closely with his father and brother and surrounded by books, art and creative discussions, John has developed a unique vision. Absorbing his environment, painters of the past and present, and placing no limits on his imagination, John brings to his canvas not only his sensitivities but also his heart. The emphasis on strong design, simple shapes, variety of surfaces and sensitive color has enabled John to create well-balanced visually stimulating art.
