This was painted just before the second lockdown when life seemed to be more positive and would create a NEW normality and not the same-old-same-old. The model, a dancer, was resting. Some amazing music was playing on the radio that reminded me of a Twyla Tharp ballet we had been to many years ago. Movement and stillness. Bringing those aspects together was the challenge.
