'Through the Spring Window' - 2 is one of a series of paintings by Jon Rowland that build on the 'Tree of Love series' but change the colour palette. The bright colours and abstract nature make this a statement piece. This palette echoes the spring colours of woodland areas, and the emotional response to the emergence from Corona.

Carmargue by Jon Rowland is a response to the lively activities in and around a small Mediterranean port in Provence. The juxtaposition of the cafes and restaurants along the quayside, the disgorging of fish from the boats, the swing-bridge having to open up to let larger craft into the adjacent basin, the general hubbub, and the architecture gleaming in the sunshine, was the stimulant for this and other paintings, and evoked this vibrant and colourful response.
