The refined and ingenious artistic search of the Spaniard Jorge Usán, born in 1979, masterfully presented as a material anthology of sulphurous abstractions strictly free of artifice, composed of carved wood covered with fibers, acrylic and mixed techniques, as well as a natural fermentation process that opens space waging an almost chromophobic condition of spatio-temporal being all less traditional, and that in turn, inevitably prevails over the color, the shape, light and dimension.
Usán, through the tonal spirit of music, here to be understood in the way Nietzschean, skeptically pushes the limits of the ordinary in favor of a new order made up of harmonic but opposite elements, ranging from white to black, from the complex to the genuine, from the micro to the macrocosm, and so on, without never forget the importance of respiratory rate, inhaling and exhaling slowly and smoothly within a gradual, thoughtful and laborious creative process.
