About the Item
Artist Comments
An abstract garden of brilliant pink and yellow flowers, dripping with rain. Joyanna says the painting is a nod to Barbara Streisand's song Don't Rain on My Parade. Her signature 'negative space' floral scenes are intended to reflect joy. "The story they tell is that joy can grow from any beginning - whether sad, happy, angry or empowered," she says. Joyanna begins each painting with vibrant color work and then completes the art by adding the negative space that defines her whimsical bouquets and gardens.

Artist Lisa Carney presents a floral abstract of vibrant crimson blooms. Part of her ongoing GeoFlora series of dynamic abstractions comprised of drips and splatters. The piece features a contrasting palette of red, light pink, orange, and gray. The summery colors suggest wildflower-covered fields and branching sea corals.
About the Artist

The drips, splashes, scrapes and scratches in her art happen spontaneously and come together to create a cohesive whole.
