Born in 1979, Julien Airault is a French painter and sculptor.
A self-taught artist, Julien Airault has been interested in art for over 15 years. His first steps as an artist were devoted to watercolor, a technique he found attractive for its lightness and technical constraints.
This was followed by a series of gallery exhibitions of Expressionist-style portraits, with which he enjoyed great success.
Following an upheaval in his personal life, he decided to paint his first abstract canvases, and the Chinese art scene of the second half of the 20th century became an inexhaustible source of inspiration and energy for him.
Fascinated by post-war painting, and in particular by the artists of the lyrical abstraction movement, he drew his artistic influences from illustrious artists such as Zao Wou-Ki and Chu Teh Chun.
His success was immediate! On his canvases, the material is the vehicle for a veritable emotional elevator. The viewer is plunged into a universe where gentleness and nervousness, tranquility and chaos, dreams and journeys all come together.
In October 2021, Galerie Sarto was proud to release its first monograph, a 200-page survey of the artist’s career, entitled ‘‘Une abstraction atmosphérique’’, available from the gallery on request.
Né en 1979, Julien Airault est un peintre et sculpteur français. Artiste autodidacte, Julien Airault peint depuis plus de 15 ans. Ses premiers pas en tant qu'artiste sont consacrés à l'aquarelle, technique qui l'attire par sa légèreté et ses contraintes techniques. Il réalise par la suite une série d'expositions en galerie de portraits dans un style expressionniste avec lequel il aura beaucoup de succès. A la suite d’un bouleversement dans sa vie personnelle, il décide de peindre ses premières toiles abstraites et la scène artistique chinoise de la seconde moitié du XXème siècle devient alors pour lui une source inépuisable d'inspiration et d'énergie. Passionné par la peinture de l'après guerre et notamment par les artistes du mouvement de l'abstraction lyrique, il puise ses influences artistiques auprès d'illustres artistes tels que Zao Wou-ki et Chu Teh Chun. Le succès est immédiat! Sur ses toiles, la matière est le véhicule d'un véritable ascenseur émotionnel. Le spectateur se plonge dans un univers où se côtoient la douceur et la nervosité, la tranquillité et le chaos, le rêve et le voyage. Les collectionneurs sont au rendez-vous, les mêmes qui admirent et possèdent les travaux des maîtres de l’abstraction lyrique. En octobre 2021, la galerie Sarto est fière de sortir sa première monographie recensant sur près de 200 pages le parcours de l’artiste. Son livre «Une abstraction atmosphérique» est disponible à la galerie sur demande.

Thang Kiang How was born in 11th Sept.1946 in Malaysia
Kiang How received the Public Service Medal (PBM) awarded by the President of Singapore in 1981 for his contribution to Singapore Nation Building. In the past 30 years, he has been an active participant in local and international art scenes. His unique technique of blending acrylic and airbrush printing effect on canvas and paper has become his trademark in the art circle and is constantly involved in major art projects (sculpture and murals). He has held 12 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 100 group exhibitions in countries, such as Australia, China, France, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam and also Singapore. He received many local and international awards.His works are collected by local as well as overseas museums, organizations and private collectors. He was the President of Modern Art Society Singapore (1982 – 1993), Vice President of Federation of Art Societies Singapore (1990 – 1996) and sits on the panel in National Arts Council (1984 – 1993). However, he was the person brought MASS onto a regional platform, Asian International Art Exhibition (AIAE) hosting by members in Federation of Asian Artists (FAA) yearly in 1990.
