An original, fine art, abstract expressionist painting, "Withering on the Vine" combines abstracted floral motifs with gestural markings. Created in 2021 by abstract artist Kara Greenwell, the contemporary painting features dramatic ruby red, magenta pink and plum purple paint atop a layered background of soft aqua, sage green, lavender, butter yellow and cream. Hidden messages in graphite and charcoal play across the work's surface. Measuring 24 inches by 36 inches, this contemporary painting is an ideally sized modern statement piece to adorn any wall. The artist continued the painting extending around the edges of this gallery wrapped canvas, ensuring visual interest from all angles.
