Vibrant surrealist painting of a figure offering copious amounts of bread and fish.
As with all abstract art this story is open to interpretation - but the most clear comparison is that of the Biblical tale of Jesus feeding the 5,000. The Feeding of the 5,000 is also known as the "miracle of the five loaves and two fish", because the Gospel of John reports that five barley loaves and two small fish supplied by a boy were used by Jesus to feed a crowd of 5,000 people.
Modern British oil painting on canvas, depicting this surrealist figurative study of figures, with a wonderful mixture of colours. It is signed by its artist, Kate Orr to the reverse and titled verso overlapping a still life study. The artist used to exhibit with the SoCo Artists, in East Sussex.
