Katherine Borkowski-Byrne
"Nowhere", abstract, red, turquoise, blue, purple, white, oil painting

2020

About the Item

Katherine Borkowski-Byrne’s “Nowhere” is a colorful abstract oil painting, 20.5 x 16 inches, on paper with very thick texture and spontaneous brushwork in saturated reds, turquoises, purples and blues on a white background. This emotionally raw and expressionist painting changes dramatically in different lighting and will continue to reveal surprising details. “Nowhere” is unframed and the signature is on front and back. Katherine paints while listening to opera and translates the many layered-music into many-layered paintings. She is influenced by the art of the New York School of Abstract Expressionism with it’s focus on being in the moment and the use of fortunate accidents and experimental techniques. Katherine’s work is in many corporate and private collections. She is represented by Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA.
