Another area of focus while exploring the number 3 has been the three centers within the body for creation; the mind, the heart, and the groin/sexual center.
From the power center of our minds we use our thoughts to create the world around us. The thoughts the we hold onto and believe and repeat over and over project out into the world like radio waves attracting back to us that which is the same frequency.
From the heart center we create with intention. We feel all those sensations and desires to be and do certain things in the world that are our hearts calling. From here we emit our intentions out into the world and attract back all that is needed for their fulfillment.
The groin or sexual center is the creative powerhouse in the body with the ability to create new life. It is also the seat of creative energy at large and the power to physically create in the world.
Bringing these three power centers into alignment, allowing our thoughts and our physical power for creating to align deeply and harmoniously with our hearts true intentions is a large focus in these works. It is this alignment or unity within the self of all of our natural creative power that fascinates me. I imagine what life can be like when we learn to master the use of our creative potential and to use it in alignment with our hearts.

About the Artist:
"I contemplate every color, mark, and placement of the line to formulate what I call rhythmic velocities: relationships of color and motion that give life to the composition, creating a heartbeat. I am interested in the duality of math and design: through repetition, a line made of color becomes a rhythmic pattern. This concept is found when composing music, organic landscapes and architectural structures. By referencing these sources, my abstractions transcend their formal components, reaching beyond a minimalist canon. My work is composed of hard edges and thin lines set against an abstract field or a pictorial space. Each color has a quickness that is relative to the colors surrounding it; this gives my paintings visual movement and dislocates the viewer. Through linear and geometric forms, my paintings explore design and mathematical concepts found broadly throughout culture. They are improvised from a wide range of sources such as my conversations with scholars in various fields of music, architecture and engineering, my life experiences and travels."
